Join us for an evening of chamber music performed by the Continuum Chamber Collective on Thursday, June 22 at 48 Walker Street. This special event features the NYC premiere of Carbon Fiber Quartet led by award-winning New York-based composer Lisa Heffter, who will be introducing her work.
The Continuum Chamber Collective was founded in 2020, when the only way music could be played was with masks and staying six feet apart. The name “Continuum” originated from the musician’s mission to propel classical music forward by pushing the envelope of contemporary music. Continuum dedicates itself to celebrating underrepresented voices through programming and commissions. The collective consists of Michael Romans and Diane Yang on violin, Ivan Mendoza on viola, and Erica Ogihara on cello.
This evening is presented as part of the gallery's ongoing Art in Conversation program, a series of events that explore connection, community engagement, and deep listening practices to make connections across the arts.
Doors open at 6:30 PM, concert will run from 7-8 PM. Admission is $20 at the door, to benefit the Continuum Chamber Collective. Refreshments will be served.
