For the 2022 edition of Frieze New York at The Shed, James Cohan is pleased to present a solo booth of new work by Eamon Ore-Giron. The fair is open to the public from May 19 through May 22, with an invite-only preview on Wednesday, May 18.
All of the paintings in this special presentation belong to Ore-Giron’s ongoing series Infinite Regress, where the artist’s totemic visual language is subject to a process of reformulation and future iterations. Painting with highly-pigmented Flashe on raw brown linen, Ore-Giron’s abstractions are an intentional entanglement of religious iconography, sacred landscapes, and celestial bodies culled from varied origins.
