Benefit Party

Please join us for Granny Squares for Asylum Seekers, a benefit party hosted by James Cohan Gallery on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 6-8 PM at 52 Walker Street, 2nd Floor.

James Cohan Gallery has partnered with Venezuelans and Immigrants Aid (VIA) to create the Granny Square Workshop, a crochet program that gives newly arrived migrants from Latin America a safe space to learn a creative skill and be in community.

Founded in 2016, VIA is a 100% volunteer-based nonprofit that provides crucial resources for Latin American asylum-seekers. Through their connection to VIA, migrants struggling to gain a foothold in NYC receive access to information and programs that help them establish healthy, stable, and productive lives.

Please join us in celebrating the Granny Square Workshop participants' hard work on November 20, 6-8 PM, where their crochet wares will be on display and for sale, plus food, drinks, live music, and more!

Tickets to attend Granny Squares for Asylum Seekers are $100 each, please click here to purchase. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to VIA.
