Please join us on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 6 PM for a conversation between gallery artist Kelly Sinnapah Mary and Andil Gosine. This event is presented in conjunction with The Book of Violette, a new exhibition by Sinnapah Mary, on view from February 14 through March 22, 2025, at the gallery’s 58 Walker Street location.

Andil Gosine is Professor of Environmental Arts and Justice at York University, and author of Nature’s Wild: Love, Sex and Law in the Caribbean. His research, artistic and curatorial practices attend to imbrications of ecology, power and desire. Dr. Gosine created and has led “Visual Arts After Indenture” since 2014, and is custodian of the Colin M. Robinson Archives. He held the 2024 Beinecke Fellowship at the Clark Art Institute, and is Curatorial Director of the Small Axe Journal project sx art.

This event is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Entry at 6 PM, discussion begins promptly at 6:30 PM.
